In the fourth quarter of 2023, the UK's fitness enthusiasts showed their app preferences clearly, with some programs outshining others in terms of downloads, revenue, and active users. Sensor Tower's latest data gives us a detailed look at the performance of the top five iOS fitness and weight loss applications.

Strava: Run, Bike, Hike experienced a notable increase in revenue towards the end of the quarter, peaking at $221K in the last week of December. Downloads for the app saw a significant spike in the same period, jumping to 16K, while weekly active users rose to 448K after a dip in November.

MyFitnessPal: Calorie Counter maintained a fairly steady revenue stream throughout the quarter, ranging from $139K to $184K. However, downloads showed a declining trend, ending at 11K in the last week of December. The app's active users saw a decrease towards the end of the quarter, settling at 543K.

NutraTech Ltd's Calorie Counter + brought in revenues fluctuating between $97K and $136K. The app experienced a decrease in downloads, concluding the quarter with 6K. Active users followed a similar pattern, ending at 54K in December.

Fitbit: Health & Fitness by Google LLC saw its revenue climb in the final week to $167K. The app's downloads soared to 37K in the same period, while weekly active users increased to 178K after a consistent performance throughout the quarter.

Lastly, Zwift: Ride and Run observed a steady revenue with minor fluctuations, closing at $86K. Downloads peaked in the last week at 1.6K, and active users reached 7K, showing a modest rise from earlier weeks.
